From behind the lens, to in front of the camera

It's not often that I have a reason to be photographed. As a photographer, I have to say I much prefer to be behind the camera, capturing other's great moments. But for the upcoming birth of our first baby, my husband and I knew we wanted Kate to photograph us again. Kate (my associate extraordinaire) photographed our Wedding almost 3 years ago this August and now it was time to capture the next phase of our life....me pregnant with our little peanut....being born any day now!

Kelowna Wedding at Father Pandosy Mission

Cody and Sara were married at St. Charles Garnier Church in Kelowna. From the very beginning we knew their Wedding was going to be about the relationships they have with their family and friends and we loved the genuine warmth of everyone we met. To fit with their vision of their day we used the Father Pandosy Mission to capture some of the fun-even stopping a Scooter's Ice Cream truck that was passing by. To finish off the night, we were at the Coast Capri Hotel where Cody's mom is the executive chef-an honor bestowed among very few women in Canada-and Jeff Hay (DJ Haymaker) got the family dancing.

Summerhill Pyramid Winery Wedding

Troy and Jen choose the beautiful Summerhill Pyramid Winery as their backdrop to say their "I Dos". One of Kelowna's most beautiful wineries, it is an incredible backdrop for a Wedding. Thanks to Penny at the Delta Grand Hotel's Color Room where the girls got pampered and to the Hotel Eldorado, Kelowna's lakeside boutique resort, where Jen got ready.

Super Sexy Kelowna Wedding at Mon Reposa Luxury Penthouse

It was a great honor for me to photograph the super sexy Wedding of Amie and Cody at Mon Reposa Luxury Penthouse in Kelowna. Cody's mom has been my hairdresser since I was 8 or 9 years old and to be involved in her families' special event was a great privilege. Amie and Cody wanted their Wedding to be a VIP event from start to finish and the Mon Reposa Luxury Penthouse was an incredible backdrop for us to photograph at.

Vernon Wedding

Jenn and Ashlin both grew up in Vernon, but having lived in Vancouver for the past few years, their Wedding was a homecoming filled with lots of family and friends. We also wanted to incorporate some of Vernon's attractions, so for the couples first meeting, we chose the beautiful Kin Beach on Okanagan Lake. Thanks to the Vernon Yacht Club for letting us down on their wharf.

Armstrong Portrait Session

Barb and Brian were married in Armstrong on the May long weekend, and as a gift to the happy couple, their family got them a portrait session. Having grown up on the same street as Barb, I've known her my whole life and I was honored to capture her and her husband Brian. Congratulations Barb and Brian!

Cedar Creek Estate Winery Wedding

Jenny and Andy's Wedding at Cedar Creek Estate Winery and Hotel Eldorado in Kelowna was immensely fun from start to finish! There was so much of their personality in every aspect. From the special sunglasses (monogramed with their names) that all the guests wore, to the car they rented from Nixdorf Classic Cars, sea plane and a reception that was one heck of a party....Kate and I loved every minute photographing this dynamic and fun loving couple.
