I LOVE client inquiries like this :)

Daily, I receive numerous emails from potential clients looking for a Wedding Photographer. I LOVE this inquiry and had to post it....

"Hi Ladies. I've just spent the last 40 minutes searching every inch of your great site. That is the nicest compliment I can offer, since you have seemed to outlast all the other photographers by about 37 minutes! You have a knack for capturing great moments and expressions. My fiance is NOT a fan of photos in general, pulling teeth is an understatement...and we both agree that photogenic is neither of our innate qualities, so we are looking for ALL the help we can get! I appreciate your help."
Warm Regards,

Wedding at Okanagan Golf Club

From Ryan and Lena's Engagement Session (we photographed in a car junk yard) we knew we could have some fun with the photos! We love planning a special first meeting in which our Bride and Groom meet before the Ceremony to do their portraits. This not only allows for more time for photos, but creates some beautiful shots of them seeing each other for the first time. Couples also love the fact that after the ceremony they and their guests can go straight to the Reception.

We had agreed with Lena and Ryan to meet downtown Kelowna and Kate and I went early to check on some of our favorite alleys. Almost overnight a slew of new graffiti had popped up in some of the locations. Often this ruins a spot but this time, the graffiti was perfectly suited to this special first meeting. There were 12 beautiful red roses with the words "Apostles of Love" sprayed on a brick wall! We were absolutely floored at how perfect it would be and the photos speak for themselves. (I apologize if your monitor doesn't show the images in the size they were intended-to see an image more clearly you can click on it for an enlarged version).

The beautiful Ceremony and Reception were held at the Okanagan Golf Club. Thanks for being such a fun, and fashion inspired couple Lena and Ryan!

"We are so happy that we had Wedded Bliss Photography document our day. They did more than just document our wedding. They created photos that captured the feelings of our moments and the atmosphere of the day, in each and every photograph. Renee and Kate both made it so comfortable for us to be photographed. They have natural talent that made it possible for them to figure out exactly what we wanted throughout our day.

Our Engagement Photos with Renee were so much fun. She is a genuine, caring and humorous person which helped us to let loose and have fun.

I would and have recommended Wedded Bliss Photography. All of our friends and family who have seen our photos are impressed with the creativity and unique qualities in our photos. You feel at ease with complete trust that they know what they are doing and that they will photograph your Wedding from every angle possible."

Lena and Ryan Weber, Vancouver B.C.

Engagement Session at Davison Orchards

Steve and Erin are getting married this coming February. Not only are we super excited for a winter white Wedding, we have been looking forward to photographing them for quite some time. Steve, a photographer himself, booked us over a year and a half ago so there has been lots of anticipation for this one :) We loved photographing them in all the beautiful fall colors and made sure to sit down during our session to eat some yummy pumpkin pie at Davison Orchards!

We're in the News Again!

Wedding at Bertram Provincial Park as seen by Wedded Bliss & Last Cut Videography

A Wedding brings a whole group of amazing individuals together. I especially love working with other creative people who help to make the Bride and Grooms day special. I knew Anne and Trung would be a blast to photograph based on our Engagement Session together. So with that in mind I found some really fun sights and Ryan Lindquist of Last Cut Videography came along to document it all. Enjoy his montage of Anne, Trung and Wedded Bliss Photography having some fun! Thanks to the Delta Grand Resort and Ryan for the video!

Wedding at Mackie House and Spallumcheen Golf Course

If you saw my earlier post about Nik and Paula you know they have had a fairy tale romance from the beginning. August 1st, their BIG day, was no different and Kate and I loved being along for every beautiful moment. The ceremony was held at the beautiful Mackie House in Vernon with the reception following at Spallumcheen Golf and Country Club. We wish them years of happiness! P.S. To view the following slide show you will need to have the latest version of Quicktime. You can easily download it at Apples' site.

Wedding at Penticton Lakeside Resort

It was probably the biggest rain storm I have seen in a long time; but the wet weather didn't dampen Reanne and Nelson's enthusiasm for their big day. We had lots of fun dodging puddles and made sure to take advantage of the enormous golf umbrellas I bought at the beginning of this season ;) Thanks to the Penticton Lakeside Resort for harbouring us during the storm. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Harder!

"Renee and Kate of Wedded Bliss Photography did an absolutely amazing job on capturing those precious moments of our wedding day. I cried when viewing our photos for the first time and I know that for years to come, I can always look back at our photos and know that no other photographer could have come close to the amazing job that was done. Thank you!" Reanne & Nelson Harder

Jenn and Damon's Engagement Session

We have a lot of clients who make the Okanagan a destination for their Wedding. Who can blame them! With Jenn and Damon however they had a home here but were living far, far away. In fact, I think they win the long distance award for coming the furthest for their big day. Damon is stationed in the Arctic Circle with the RCMP. There are no roads where they live and they have to fly everything in. I have loved getting to know this amazing couple and what life is like for them.

Wedding at O'keefe Ranch & Predator Ridge Golf Resort

It was a splendid, sunny day in July when Cara and Jason said their "I Do's" at the historic St. Anne's church. The pre-Wedding photos and first meeting of the happy couple was at the grand Predator Ridge Golf Resort with the rest of the festivities at the the O'Keefe Ranch.

"Renee, I know I have said this before, but thanks again so much for capturing our day so perfectly. The pictures were simply amazing and you were such a treat and so easy to work with. I think I have watched this about 4 times so far and each time I've got a big stupid grin on my face!"

Where did the summer go?

How can it be October? It was a flurry of activity over the past several months and so now is the time to get caught up on the blog....or my first attempt. We are still busily creating albums, photographing fall Engagement Sessions and getting ready for two upcoming Bridal Shows. Please keep looking back for more posts on some of the amazing couples we photographed over the summer. They will be up soon!
