For those of you who know my husband, The Morning Star Photographer Cory Bialecki cpatured his essence perfectly! A cup of coffee and a few thousand books are his idea of fun! My friend joked that people live their whole life in Vernon and never get in the paper. Paul is here a few short months and already he is a star. Guess it pays to know people in the business. Vernon Bay Bridal Fair A Huge Success...and Best Of All The Kids Win!

Last night, Vendors from all over the Okanagan were on hand at the Bay's Vernon store to help Brides plan for their special day and to raise funds for a very deserving cause; The Variety Kids. The evening ended with a great fashion show and auction. My husband Paul, (who is an auctioneer by trade) was the auctioneer and he auctioned off some amazing items that various vendors had donated. We proudly raised $1,117.00 for the Variety Children's Radiothon and we couldn't be happier. Thanks to Agnes of the Bay Registry Department for her vision and organization of the night.

Love — the kind that leads to weddings and the kind that leads people to support charities — is all around at The Bay Bridal Extravaganza to benefit the Variety Club Radiothon, Thursday.

“Back in January, I said to my boss that I’d like to do a bridal show and I’ve been working on it ever since,” said Agnes Orsi, bridal registry consultant and show coordinator.

The show features men’s and women’s bridal and cruise wear fashions modeled by members of the KISS FM events crew with MC Denai Johnson.

There will be 17 wedding-related vendors, door prizes and a live auction by Paul Bielby with proceeds to the Variety Club.

The auction includes a wedding dress from L’Amoré Bridal & Formals in Kelowna, a suit from Milano Clothing Company, luggage from The Bay, a gift card from The Flight Centre, an engagement photo package from Wedded Bliss Photography and a package from the Prestige Inn.

Tickets for the show, at The Bay in the Village Green Mall, are a minimum donation of $5 per ticket with all sales to the Variety Club, and are available at the door.

Doors open at 5 p.m. Thursday, with the fashion show starting at 6:45 p.m. and the auction held during the show.

Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park provides scenic backdrop for Reanne & Nelson

It wasn't hard to convince Reanne and Nelson to drive up to Vernon for their Engagement Session once they saw pictures of Kalamalka Provincial Park. Reanne and I have been talking a lot about their upcoming July wedding and we wanted a beautiful rural location to capture their Engagement Session. Having hiked the park many times, I knew it's breath taking views would be the perfect backdrop. It was a fantastic day for photos and Kate and I can't wait till Nelson and Reanne say their I do's.

Nicholas at the Vancouver Aquarium

Spring has sprung in Vancouver-a stark contrast to the Okanagan!  There are cherry blossoms, windowsills full of flowers and people everywhere wearing shorts and tank tops!  It was a great time to visit with my nephew, and have him take me to the Vancouver Aquarium.  He showed me all his favorites-especially the beluga whales and frogs.  Oh the wonder of a child!

Vernon Bay Spring Bridal Extravaganza

Another great Bridal Show is almost here. For those of you you haven't seen the ads yet, the Vernon Bay is hosting a Spring Bridal show Thursday April 30th from 5:00-9:00 pm.

This will be a great chance for Brides planning an upcoming Wedding to meet a host of vendors, get inspired and have a lot of fun. One of the evenings highlights will be a fashion show from 7:00- 7:30 pm that will culminate with a charity auction.

My husband, an auctioneer by trade, will be doing this mini auction to help raise funds for various children's charities. There are INCREDIBLE items up for bidding. An Engagement Session with yours truly, Wedded Bliss Photography, a nights stay at the Prestige Inn, a luggage set from The Bay, a flight from the Flight Centre, a Wedding Dress from L'Amore Bridal and a suit from Milano Clothing Company.

Anne & Trung at Manteo Resort & Father Pandosy Mission

I love working with new clients. As much as that can be a scary prospect at times (will our personalities click, will they understand my vision for an image...) you get to explore an environment and go on an adventure with them. Although I had met Anne & Trung at the Kelowna Bridal Show, we had never worked together. We had a blank canvas.
Well....here are the results from their Engagement Session. Thanks to the Manteo Resort and Father Pandosy Mission in Kelowna for the use of their property.
They are an absolutely adorable couple and we can't wait to photograph their Wedding in August. Anne will be breath taking in her gown!
